IMO find some local craft brews and support the local area, if you got nothing better to try. when i dont have something to drink, i usually try some new craft brews and expand my horizons

I luckily have a huge variety at my pleasure. And trust me, I partake. I'm thinking a less local brew. I have DuClaw, dogfish head, EvO, Third Wave, Fin "Ocean City, Md", etc. I went with Samuel Smith organic chocolate stout and paired it with a nice raspberry lager, twas delicious. Tonight I'm thinking about getting a growler of some oaked ale, chardonnay oak to be more specific :D

Those chard barrels give a nice little touch. I prefer bourbon barrels personally.

is it true sam adams still qualifies as "craft?"

also, i had some of that creme brulee beer and it was awful, just dreadfully sweet.

I think it's defined as a macro brewery. Not micro.
The dessert is sweet. The beer is just like the dessert.

I'm not a fan of beer aged in bourbon barrels. I find the taste to be overpowering. I do like beer aged in regular oak barrels though. I should look for some beer ages in Chardonnay barrels that sounds quite tasty
