Usually I take the whole fish, take the guts out and replace with lemon onion garlic and some fresh herbs, then triple wrap with foil and throw it right into the fire for like 5min or so. Tastes soooo good and you don't have to filet it, just gotta watch out for bones when you eat it.

That sounds very simple and good.
Gonna try this next time I catch some trout :)

Sweet glazes for fish is pretty common. Although usually it's honey or brown sugar, or garnished with mango or pineapple.

You throw it directly onto the flame?

I do the almost the exact same thing. Butter, onion, lemon slices and lemon pepper sauce wrapped in tin foil and but on bbq.

I love my fly fishing and i always rub the butterflied fish in brown sugar and pop in a smoker. The sugar sweetens the fish and seals in the juice. It's amazing.

I am going fishing tomorrow just to try this out.

Sounds great, I've done this on a BBQ but never on an open fire
