anyways, i think my parents use it for lentil based soups and for breaking down the tough meats faster than slow cookers. im too scared to use one.

i looove my mom's bns soup.

what we do if we can't finish it is stick it in the freezer .

and it still tastes great

why scared? most if not all have a safety so its not going to blow on you unless you take it to a marathon.

when the thing is rumbling around and steam is whistling out...nope nope nope, i'll just stick to the slow cooker.

must be an older one or something. my parents' one did that, the weight on top bouncing around a bit. worst that would happen, though, is it would fall off and steam would come out, losing the pressure inside. mine doesnt rumble, it just has some steam coming out. doesnt really bother me.

got another present yesterday. (got the pot early.) modernist cuisine for the home cook. nice. its a good start til we can afford to get teh full one. (which i have dled anyway. still plan to buy it when i can, though, and not just because some of the scans are blurry.)
