soooo goood, with the huge almost dumpling like noodles, soooo good
though imo its more to do with the cooks and the fresh produce then the acutal pa dutch style cousine.
pa dutch cooks most likely grew up in the kitchen with their mother and grandmother learning how to make and can alll kinds of things, sharing a love for food that takes them back to their childhood while having more experience then most head chefs.
so like everything they make is good, not just their own cuisine, in pa dutch homes youll find in the basement alll kinds of canned foods, pears halves, peaches, apple sauce, spagetti sauce, a freezer with frozen cut corn, creamed corn, green beans, frozen sweet peaches, carrorts, ect
all of it picked fresh and ripe and canned fresh and ripe, the amazing flavors of the fruit or veg trapped in that mason jar just wating for you to open it.
really its just simple foods made perfectly.
atleast thats why i think PA is the state with the best food.
