I usually just rinse veggies, worked for me for ten years. Soap sounds excessive.

It's potentially bad for you, though only a tiny ammount would be left on there.

Feel safe knowing you are cooking them at 400 degrees.

i usually rinse. potatoes i scrub with a brush.


protip: a lot of restaurants dont even rinse.

Well, if it just goes into the pot I don't even bother with rinsing unless it's potatoes or other root vegetables (hello caked dirt). Like you said, heat enough and any bacteria dies anyway, as far as pesticides and other toxins go, no soap in the world will help.

The point of it being turkey bacon is so that it's healthier. It can be whatever you want though.
