My mom makes this chocolate eclair dessert for almost every family gathering, it's so delicious and incredibly simple.

Puff pastry crust, vanilla custard, cover with the hardening shell chocolate sauce. So fucking good.

eclair are made with "pate a choux" (choux dough).. also on a side note for me the best eclair will be filled with chiboust (creme patissiere lightened with whipped cream)

Well it's not a traditional eclair. I suppose it would be better described as a cream puff cake.

well, cream puffs are also made from pate a choux. not sure exactly how youre folding/layering it, etc, but it sounds closer to a napoleon, which is made with puff pastry, rather than an eclair or cream puff.

pate a choux, for those who dont know, is a dough which is cooked on the stove before being baked.

Having a pot luck at work on Tuesday and going to make my go-to fan-favorite pot luck dessert... it's simple and really good.

Get some angel food cake, cube it and put it in a serving pan...
Slice strawberries to bite size and mix them with some blue berries and toss in with the angel food cake.
Prepare some jello (boil the water and combine the mix + cold water) and then pour it over the cake/berries.

Put it in the fridge and let the jello set.

Serve with a dollop of whipped cream.

So good.
