pad thai and coconut curry may be overrated, but hey, we all gotta start somewhere right? and whats better than knowing the BEST pad thai place in town :3
i really love thai fried rice with chilis, ginger, basil and mint. and also they do killer deep fried fish, like snapper and sole.
the only dishes i dont like are the sweet ones.

yes after ww2 pad thai became the most popular meal in the entire country. its not my opinion, its an historical facts.
Ive learn that from local chefs in Bangkok during cooking school.
I don't know what you try to prove here. Post your recipes like the topic of the thread request or go show your ignorance on others thread.

after ww2? that's 65 years ago. My ignorance? You talk about thai food and the only thing youre talking about are pad thai and coconut milk curry, that very laughable, this is 1% of thai food.

I agree that those are 'mainstream' dishes but no need to bash him if thats all hes been exposed to.

maybe no "real" thai restaurants are nearby, or has no thai friends to try real 'in-home' thai food

would you guys still bash him if thread was "i love pad thais"

Can't wait to see the guy who says he likes japanese food and only mentions sushi and hibatchi.

/edit or vietnamese food and only likes pho :D <~~ Yummy

I dont know to who your post refer to but fyi my wife is thai and Ive been in thailand over 10x already and planned to go live there at my retreat.
I studied thai cooking in few school over there and the intention in my thread was to see who in here like and cook thai food.
I didnt want to throw all my knowledge in my first topic but rather start a discussion and share with friendly jsp users regarding thai food.

Some kids here doesnt know how to participate in a discussion forum and hofx2 is a good exemple..
