coriander is part of the plant that cilantro is from. cilantro is the leafy part. coriander is like the root or something. so ur not totally wrong but not right.
The Brits call cilantro coriander. Also, ground coriander is ground up dried seeds from the cilantro/coriander plant. They are kind of lemony, especially if you dry your own at the the end of the gardening season.

Yes, and it tastes very much like cilantro. Not being Vietnamese, I have no idea what they call it in the Pho joints other than saw-leaf herb.
