what is the process from turning just the coconut water into coconut milk ?
you take the water and the flesh and stick it in the blender with a bit more water so theres enough liquid for it to circulate. run that for a bit then squeeze it out and filter it. the time consuming part is getting the flesh out of the shell and then peeling it. i might try not peeling it next time, i saw one recipe that did that. the brown part wont puree so small, so itll just get held back when you filter it. might affect the taste, though, and sometimes there spoiled spots under it that you wont see unless you peel it. also, you cant then use the flakes that youire left with since its full of the brown as well, not that ive figured out something good to do with them. used some to add to some breading for chicken last time i did it. was ok, but didnt really add much coconut taste.
