That is so untrue. Eating healthy can be very cheap, just as long as you know what you're doing and don't buy processed food.
-Everyweek they are always specials on plenty of vegs, you can get em for cheap... also theres veg that are cheap all year round (cabbage, onions etc..)
-You can buy various cereals for cheap, rice, quinoa,barley, etc etc
-As for protein, theres a lot of cheap stuff, from beans to tofu to whatever meat is on special at your grocery store...
