Lowballs won't work? Who sets the prices, you ? And with your experience on jsp (judging from your join date), I wouldn't say that you are the end-all when it comes to knowledge about low-balling and it's effectiveness.
I've never traded at the "set price" of the forum, and I never will (buying OR selling). I'd rather not trade at all than pay a price that someone else thinks is a good idea. I pay what I think is fair for all parties involved (sometimes that's even more than the asked price, if I think it's too low). I think people should just mutually respect each other, and try to be as fair as possible, and it makes the whole process a lot easier, and a lot more fun. I know that's probably an idea that doesn't do all too well here, but it's worked for me so far, and I've continually traded with those on here who feel the same way.
tl;dr - I don't think my forum gold offer for some in game gold for a beta that is going to disappear in a month is a "low-ball," it just depends how people look at it.
