"If you listen from afar the playing of William Ackerman sounds very simple and repetitive. But the way he attack the arppegios in fact demand much mastery. It's a rubato all along the song. And the pressure on the strings are constantly changing. Though it's less obvious than playing 8 notes/second like John MacLaughlin or Steve Vai but it's way way much harder. Because building speed is a question of time, but building touch is a question of being .You can play fast automatically without being present,not playing rubato . stylé, avec une instru a la mandoline ca peut que deboiter, jvais voir ce que donne ses autres sons
