This game is challenging. It’s not so much the gameplay that is challenging, but your knowledge of the game itself that challenges you. There are many nuances in the game that you have to learn. First the vocabulary. For example 5% increased damage is very different from 5% more damage. And because of this don’t expect to make that perfect char your first go. Especially if you don’t follow a guide. This isn't really a bad thing, but it is not freindly to new players.
After a very very long time I finally traded myself a Mirror of Kalandra to start over in their new expansion that is coming out soon. The mirror is the most valued currency item you can get in this game. (around $300 in real money).
*edit: I traded this Item legally and did not RMT. Sorry for the misunderstanding due to my exhibition
A recent "bug"(afterwards found, fixed and admitted) deleted and modified some Items from player stashes. Unfortunately my mirror was one of them. After some email trades with multiple persons of the support it turned out that the items would not be returned and that I don't have any right to claim according to their TOS. I wrote the first email a month before they even considered a bug btw.
Talking about its endgame, it turned out to be pretty disappointing. The more you advance through the game and get closer to the maximum level, the more it turns into a real market simulator.
This game is catered to the hardcore. The extreme hardcore. While the action, combat, loot system, and diverse character development will suck in pretty much anyone that loves Action-RPGs, you will undoubtely find a wall that you won't be able to overcome unless you are one of the Path of Exile 1%ers.
terrible loot roller and just terribly unfun past the normal difficulty dont waste your time on this game. The trade community is rude and unkind especially to new players. I have given this game many chances and wrote a fairly kind review in the past but i must change my mind in saying this game is terrible and just not at all worth it.
