Tiergarten Schönbrunn is always nice to visit with kids, especially as young as yours. honestly it's a must see and I'm fairly certain you'll make long lasting memories with the young ones there.
Prater isn't really recommended at this time of the year, i don't know if it's still full of drug addicts and shady people, but it used to be luck based if you'll enjoy it there or have a horrible time.
i can recommend you to visit any of the castles, especially if you have boys, they'll surely enjoy it, depending on the weather.
And yeah the museum is nice, but i don't know if it'll be fun for young kids, if they don't speak the language and aren't allowed to touch things.
that's something you have to decide, depending on your knowledge of the sciences and how much you can make the experience enjoyable for them.

bad thing is the weather will be crappy - all week rainy, but thats our luck i guess

yeah they recently built a new police station there to get this under control, i just looked it up

He is wrong, yes Prater have some issues at night but if you do t go to Late it's pretry much filled with normal people and some Teenagers.
