I'm here to learn, (very noob regarding zons here) recently got a cheap 4/40 ceremonial javelin in game and I'm seeing quite a lot of ppl asking for those (and the expensive ones like 5/40 and 6/40),.but I'm focusing more on the 4/40 today...
From PvM perspective, is it worth going with a 4/40 instead of t-stroke or titans

attack speed is a huge increase to your dps. titans has none, tstrokes has 15%iirc. you also have to make sacrifices to get some ias from slots like gloves/ammy/helm since most will equip enigma and want as much fcr as possible too.

the majority of your damage comes from lightning dmg from your + skills, so ideally you want/can get +6 from that slot. hence why 6/40's > the rest

Without replenish, you are going to spend a lot more time in town repairing your weapons to get quantity back.

What you are really gaining is an easier way to hit your IAS breakpoints at the cost of spending more time in town repairing.

Some ppl use ias griffon, highlord, 3/20 gloves to reach 95 bp. Its huge boost to dps. Cant reach that ias from anywhere else.
Is it worth it? Depends on your goals too, if lasthitting baal or clear speed is important for you, then 40 ias from weapon is a must.

pvm 55% ias normaly cuts it, so titans, plus the eth upped ones can help vs immunes that don't break.
pvp 95% ias is what you'll want 99% f the time so 4/40s, 5/40, or 6/40s, can all work, but as stated +skill helps dmg.



Also that. say you're making your zon to top 2 baal, kill diablo in baal runs as well, farm keys asap, etc, higher ias would help in those areas, tho not 100% needed.

all depends on what break points for ias and fcr youre trying to hit.

this is a good example of why griffons is a great item, probably bis. Not only does it give 25%fcr, but you also get -% enemy light res and a socket for something like a 15ias/15allres jewel (even just a plain 15ias is sweet too as an easy to obtain temp).
youll never get both ias and fcr from your amulet slot but highlords is a good choice. and typically you wont get fcr from your gloves on this char since youll want to run +2/20ias gloves + mods, or simply magic +3/20ias gloves.
all things to consider.
