I have searched far and wide for any clarification on what the best setup for a dreamadin (dual dream) to solo clear chaos and baal on players 8.

I am going to post my current setup in detail in hopes that we can have a logical discussion and bring in lots of knowledgeable users to contribute; it can be confusing with all the the D2R mechanics and what not, especially IAS frames.

Defensive Auras:

1 Prayer
1 Cleansing (reduction of curses and effects)
20 Resist Lightning
20 Salvation

Offensive Auras:

20 Fanatacism - Using conviction from infinity on merc* more on this later
(also necessary prerequisites)

Combat Skills:

20 Sacrifice
1 Holy Shield + prerequisites
Last pts into Zeal

Gear

Helm: Dream in bone visage

Armor: Enigma in AP or MP

Shield: Dream in highest AR ST

Weapon: Grief

Boots: War travs / Gores

Gloves: Blood gloves with 20 ias dual leech and some res, or laying of hands

Belt: Amesh, Verdungos, SoE

Rings: Ravenfrost, BK or dual leech ring

Ammy: Highlords

Switch: +6 CTA and spirit ST

Charms: Torch, Anni, 14 max dmg GC's, 3/20/7 sc's

Merc

Holy Freeze Act 2 Mercenary

This is widely controversial, but I use to because of the attack and movement speed slow to large packs to increase survivability.

Using:

Cham'd Andy's Visage
Treachery
Infinity in Eth Thresher

Skill Distribution

This can go in two ways but always enough dex for grief and to hit 75 block on holy shield, zero in energy.

Then you can either go max vit, or meet somewhere in the middle between vit and strength for more dmg output (this is what i run) As long as you hit around 2500 hp with battle orders.

From my experience my killing speed in players 8 in Baal and Chaos is much higher running fanatacism as main aura and conviction on merc as opposed to standard conviction build.

I know the faith bow merc is nice but does not fit into my playstyle of blinking into mobs, facetanking and whacking everything to death.

Have any of you guys tested both styles out in high players count to measure efficiency? Or are there any very experienced players who have found some end all build to finally put this to rest? I want to hear your guys thoughts into this amazing build, Dreamadin is definitely in my top 3 for PVM.

I go for 50fcr because teleporting slow sucks:
caster glove, arach, 10fcr/leech ring
might merc

I also preferred fanat over self conviction = this is also why I want to cast faster, moving the merc

Awesome, I use a 20fcr amulet on my cube for switch, combined with a mesh and spirit i hit the 75 breakpoint for zip zap tele.

I appreciate the feedback, its rare to have someone who has tested the many ways to run this super awesome build.

This is called a shockadin mate

But can call it Dramadin if you want

Interesting, what is the difference between a dreamadin vs shockadin?

Im considering making a dreamdin/shockadin over a light sorc as he is less common. But it appears that dreamdin might potentially cost more than light sorc if were to go all-in, anyone have a sick dreamdin build to share ?

They are about the same in cost, they are slightly cheaper if you run conviction as main aura and dont require infinity
