i see a couple diff builds people say is best, grief or crescent moon? do i just go auradin over dream pally? idk

Go hoj/dragon/dragon

It procs much more damage and is a lot better

dream pala probably the worst auradin ever , ngl

dragondin can 1-2hit whole screen without any hit required

and if you like holy shock proc . dream sorc can do a much better job

unless you are obsess with paladin due to his looks and the zeal frame action , by no mean u can try to build a dual dream din

Dream din is fine not as good at full clears as the dragon din but you get grief and enigma so you can kill basically everything. Good at killing bosses.

ya dreamdin is kind of a meme build. Tesladin is stronger and has more fcr (you can use griffs w new jewel). You can use grief, stormlash or crescent moon, but grief or stormlash are better since you need physical dmg to leech.

First, ask yourself what you want…

If you’re looking for a ‘lazy’ auradin to kill stuff around you on p1, that’s the dragondin.
Hoj + dragon + dragon
Max holy fire’s synergies
Use a helm like a 3os/30frw circ or a 3os/tele circ with 2x facets + fire jewel
Self use lvl 25 conv
+skills won’t boost your dmg further
That build melts p1 and you can keep your full inventory open and just loot/id/craft on the go.
The downside is no enigma.
You mostly charge around and loot, possibly have tele charges on circ/Amy to skip unpassable terrain.

If you’re looking for a well-rounded build, Tesladin (dual dream) is a much better zealer, and he has enigma.
This is NOT an auradin. The pulse dmg is kinda low.
Grief > Cmoon
It’s pretty much 50/50 light/phys dmg.
This build can go through all game content and even farm on p8 (definitely not as fast as a S tier caster tho).

If you’re looking for a glass canon zealot with a bit more dmg to farm on p8, the self-shock it is.
You buff your +skills and +/-% light, you rely on a2 infinity merc to provide conv.
But even if you can achieve higher dmg, the downside is you normally deal way less phys dmg on that build, so having enough sustain to survive p8 can be a bit hard.

Going hybrid 2x dream + how + dragon is a bad idea.
You get 2x lvl 30 HF and 2x lvl 30 HS pulse, which is less than 3x lvl 44 HF pulse buffed by more +/-% res.
And you still get the downside of no enigma.

If you want something that is not a zealot at all, you can go pulse + foh.
It works both as dragon or dream. In both cases you’ll want +pcomb skills.
Don’t mind the holy shock synergy of Foh, for pvm you want to buff the magic bolts dmg, so put 20 in Foh and holy bolt instead of investing those points into zeal/sacrifice like on the normal route.
It can perform slightly better at farming high density of undead/demon mobs, but without zeal it sucks at killing tanky targets.

Another option is to play an ‘aura sorc’.
Dual dream + light mastery + light skills +/-% light. Infinity merc.
The pulse dmg is not GG, but you can support it with static, thunderstorm and even some novas. All combined the dmg is not bad, but at this point it feels like playing a standard nova sorc but weaker in every aspect lol.
The fire version of the aura sorc is even worse. And the hybrid is also worse.

Replace dragon shield by dream. (Probably a typo?)
Replace dungo by SoE.
Everybody needs enigma, coh is bad.
Better self-use conv, you already reach max zeal speed without fana, you don’t need the ar it gives either due to the -def from conv, so the lil extra dmg of fana is worse than going for more -res and unlocking a better merc.
You can use 3/10/20 scs, you’ll still hit 95% hit chance due to conv.
400/32ias 15ed/0ar grief will give you the exact same result as a perf one.
451 psn scs has no use on that build.
The merc setup you mentioned has no leech.

With that setup running self-conv, you can then run an a5 frenzy merc using 2x cmoon. He’ll deal 10x more dmg than an infinity merc due to static proccing with -70res and lvl 25 conv. He can practically out-dps you lol

Or you can run a a2 might reaper merc.
Both are good.
