Wanted to ask the fire locks around here what you guys are currently doing; looking to make the swap and try however..

Some people are opting in to running without demon entirely, some choose not to consume and some play with demon still.

I have access to infinity already since I played java.

Whats the best course to take here if I wanna take the fire lock after patch to new heights? Do I still run bind demons with an aura, or skip it and run tainted/consume; or skip both and just run x3 defiler?

You guys are miles better than I will ever be so I have to ask

Max fire skills
Max Consume
10 pts demon mastery
Get a demon for tank
Consume tainted
1 defiler

That’s my preference

Hellwarden or 2/20 2 socket or 3/20 2 socket
Enigma
Maras or 2/20
6 facet and phoenix or mang and ars diablos
Magefist
Arachnid
2 fcr rings or opalveins or soj depending

FF CoH infinity merc

Max fire skills
1 in sigil of lethargy for heralds/bosses
1 in hex siphon for qol
1 in all demon tree skills
max bind demon - get a Lancer with holy freeze and cursed for dps or Heph/Lister for a tank - up to you
demon mastery 10+, with leftover points dumped in

Thats the question; What demon do you bind? Do you run another aura instead since conviction is now ran on infinity instead or do you just go for w/e looks cool? Still trying to "figure" out whats best there. No one really speaks on WHICH demon. But your setup looks good.

To run aura heph, you need to invest into bind demon correct? If you just put 1 you can grab w/e looks cool, am i understanding it right?

need 20 hard points in bind demon for super uniques - Heph/Lister, maxing out bind demon also bumps up the Lancer demon damage to stupid levels.... max it

You can get bind demon up to 20 w gear to bind a normal cursed TZ monster and pick w/e aura you prefer. Basically it’s to tank heralds. You do insane dmg already.

I disagree. You can get an "ok" cursed demon with 1 point invested in Bind Demon, but why not max it out and get a gigachad dps Lancer to help with heralds - since you have plenty of leftover skill points. An act two might merc with infinity + cursed/holy freeze Lancer + Defiler to chain attacks = free damage.

I do have a holy freeze merc currently with andariel/EthFort/Infinity.

You guys recommend grabbing a vile lancer over hephastos then?

When you guys say cursed. thats the affix on the mob itself correct?

So basically scouting out a1 for a vile lander with "cursed" on it and just send it? Can you bind it straight off the rip or do you gotta wound it first. Would creme dele creme be Vile lancer with a decent aura, like fana maybe? and cursed affix for bind demon?
