I’ve done thousands of Andy, meph, countess and pindle runs. I have yet to find a shako or even just a plain white monarch to make a spirit. Are there any bugs I need to know about with single player? I’ve done tons of cows also.

Dude it can take absolutely ages trust me since they’ve added new items it’s even harder to find stuff 😅

If you want plain white/grey items... Take off all of your magic find gear and run p8 cows. Simple as that.

You can mix it up by running lower kurast and just pop chests and armor/weapon racks too, but cows are by far the most consistent. You're wasting time trying to do anything else. Don't bother killing stuff when doing lower kurast runs.

If you want a Shako, run p8 hell pindleskin with 250+ mf.

You just need to do more runs. There is no guaranteed drops for non-quest related items in this game. Some people will get a shako their first pindleskin kill. Some will have to kill him 3500 times. Just keep going. But you absolutely need to do players 8.

p8 is ur goal

I can do P3 max atm. I don’t even have a spirit monarch yet. Every armor and weapon rack I go to drops the same item. It’s different at each rack. The racks by meph always drop a white diamond mail and a white poleaxe. The racks at countess always drop a horned helm and a targe. Etc, etc…

What are you running? Blizzard sorc?

Also, you can run p8 kurast for sure, you don't need to kill anything. You said they always drop the same items. Are you sure you havent accidentally set a -seed parameter on your game? Thats the only way that would be happening. Google "how to set map seed in d2r" and then check if you have anything in that field.

After that, reset your maps. You can do that by making a game in nightmare then leaving and going back to hell difficulty. All new maps.

Random is real, I had many SSF runs, and usually I had monarch pretty quick. But once I was playing for a week straight to get Monarch... I did like 50s runs every day in Chaos + Cows on a Necro.
BTW players 3 is ok to get it.
Also don't skip "cracked" or "damaged" Monrach, many players filtering them, but they still get 4 socket at Larzuk.

Getting the same items from racks all the time sounds like you have a set seed, otherwise racks are always random and a good source of greys and whites and yes, charms and runes and gems too. My advice is to do a few p8 kurast runs after you reset your maps, then do a few p3 cows with no mf to mix it up and keep the monotony away.
