So I don’t have access to ptr. Just curious wouldn’t hoto Phoenix with merc using infinity be better than holding the infinity?

Holding the infinity on your warlock is definitely the worst idea possible
The only interest of SELF wielding infinity is for the -55%lr

Otherwise its useless
Before ptr Obsession / Mangsong + phoenix was top tier

Now I would do baal book + mang song or still obsession but need some -fire res some place (book + fire jewel + flickering flame is prob enough)

tainted does not benefit from the - fire res on items. Only sunder breaks immunities also for tainted. And the conviction from infinity reduced enemy res. So you'd want infinity on your merc and on your warlock best possible gear to boost tainted skill level
