Is there a difference in drops? Is it one time only or unless it is completed by donor.

Heard rumors about those quest bugs not dropping gold while active, is that true as well?

yeah a quest kill has an improved loot table and won’t drop scrolls, potions, etc

it can be done by joining a game created by a character who has already completed the boss kill quest but a character that has not gets the final hit

Yeah, quest drops have the following differences:
- no gold|potions|scrolls|arrows|bolts (exception: TP scrolls @ Duriel)
- no white|grey equipment items
- no blue equipment items (exception: bases that rolled as set items but don't exist, those always have double max durability)

thx 4 answer , sometimes he was dropping gold , but quest i still incomplete in tab of my mule char. So same goes for diablo i guess

If the area is terrorised, the TZ drop has priority over the quest drop, so you can see junk items even if the trick was used (Andariel excepted).
That's the only explanation i can think of.

Gold was on normal game but hell diff , maybe it bugged out somewhat .Cannot host tz game or enter cows as mule idk . Did quite a few runs like that on baal

If you create the game with a char that hasn't completed the quest yet, and kill the boss with a char that has, you'll always get a regular drop, so that's expected.
The quest drop trick works the opposite way (game created by char that has completed the quest, and kill made by char that hasn't).

that explains the gold , he also has trophies done for that , hell and barb . will gear him up then try it later or non ladder. thx
