I had someone in my game put his merc stuff on the ground to prevent them from killing demons for a bind and it expired when we noticed after about 15-20 mins. He was completely blindsided and assumed I took the items.

10 minutes: Any Armor and Weapon of quality < magic, regardless if flagged as ‘‘Ethereal’’, ‘‘Socketed’’ or not, and Rune Words.

yeah but 10 mins feels like a very small amount of time for the best items in the game...

Lesson learned: keep safe of your best items in the game 😆
