Single player switch 2 so options are kinda limited, but here is what I have specced and gear wise for my smiter

Started playing ROTW on switch 2, got a 96 horazons lock, got enough rune wealth for engima or infinity
Gonna switch to java or nova sorc whenever I can actually get a sunder charm next patch, im like 60 t3+ heralds no drop yet

Haven't done any C Ancients yet, but have some statues, got this smiter ready to go when I decide what kind of gems I wanna try and target

Can you guys help me improve my smiter build with a focus on C ancients? Not sure on gems/body armor/etc.

Your gear looks fine. Just proc fade with your treachery before the fight.

Also shop a life tap wand from akara/drognan. Depending on low % cast from dracs can be a fatal mistake sometimes if you're very unlikely. Only needs to happen once.


I prefer last wish pb with exile, but honestly grief is fine if you use life tap wand.

You should have zero problems.

Maybe like an UM in the shield or something? IDK ias in the gear? no socket at all (better i dont have to waste quests)?

Marrowwalk boots + heaven light + draculs is already enough

You can reach 6 frame smite instead of 7 frame if you put a 15 ias jewel in your gface + use ias/cb crafted gloves. Faster smite + more crushing blow = you're safer. Again, cast life tap with a wand and don't depend on dracs.

If you want to socket anything in your shield or helm, a ber would be nice or you can go my suggestion.

OR you can put 15 ias jewel in hoz AND in gface and keep your dracs on and you can reach 6 frame smite and keep your dracs on. All depends on what you want but I do suggest two major upgrades:

1. Get 6 frame smite speed
2. Get magic Life tap charges wand.

You can get fade proc'd, battle orders/command up then go put on your life tap wand. As soon as you start the fight just life tap 1-2 of them and go in. If you keep attacking you won't die.

Could I just use treachery perma? Doesn't seem like I need chest armor do i?

I mean you could I guess and you'd reach 6 frames, but if I were you I would do a test run of Uber Tristram with a setup like that. With treachery as main armor sounds like resistances could be spotty unless you're stacking res charms in your inventory.

It would be better to wear Duress or your templars might if you don't have enigma or coh to wear.

I've done them many times with a budget smiter this season, don't even use a grief just a stormlash, proc fade, proc life tap and made sure I overstack res like for uber meph... its a piece of cake.

ES warlock is easiest of all but that will end after this season after the nerf kicks in.

They are much harder for other builds, I've had budget frenzy barb and kicksin that can clear uber trist but can't clear col ancients for some reason unless i stack them with crazy expensive gear.

They also have life tap. So u can always cast it
