i understand optimally u should run solo p8 for tombs
but i find it more enjoyable to run around with group running through tombs
am i better off just joining tz shard games and going solo in worse areas or group running tombs

You gain more experience by running together as a group, so the optimal way to play (if you're not concerned about sharing drops) is actually to travel together and do tombs together.
