Can Blizzard restrict conversion of LOD characters to ROTW?

Probably not

They would keep that open… now if they could restrict it during ladder that would be super nice

No hidden Anni walks at ladder start
Less low level bots using the old graphics
With less bots, better economy
Sunders would have more value with no LoD floating over

New Sanders more usefull and are rare as it is.
And the old ones just cancel the immunity and that's it

Agreed, not much of a problem. I only mentioned it because closing off LoD would greatly increase the new RotW Sunder value

I don’t mind people having access to the old sunders. Gets builds online pretty early

RotW Sunders are losing a lot of value off this new update going through.. so it doesn’t really matter as much

they COULD... but they wont because its gonna fuck up the original mechanics of what classic conversion to expansion is.

Then that also means you cant convert any of ur pre-existing chars into ROTW mode which is a selling point of D2 of people buying the new product because most people dont want to remake a fresh non ladder char OR offline char to play the new features (stash stacking, loot filter, etc)

They already address this problem with making sunders a bit more common on PTR. So u dont need to really do the expansion mode sunders converted to ROTW unless u desperately want a cold sunder for ur ladder day 2 blizz sorc. The PTR changes pretty much removed that middle man need though\

So u just back to the Bot problem of guys being cheap to run the expansion bots on legacy graphics... vs ROTW where u cannot do legacy graphics. But Expansion bots cannot farm warlock and ROTW exclusive items which are VERY desireable (mephisto books, diabolos books, Ancient Statues, a fuck load of shards to eat them like Candy , etc). So theres pros n cons to those running their Terminators on ROTW vs Expansion.
