was thinking about this, you need hard 15 points in for super unique and soft points give aura, so its going to get overwritten unless all gear has no skills.

trying to think what will allow me to weaken them and survive without going overlevel 20

no,aura is at 20 and above, soft points count.

need to stay under that with gear, have tested this, but have not got a unique withh aura yet to see if aura remains

Got cursed Heph going, definitely feels like higher than 5% ctc Amp so far. Never mind, further testing is definitely feeling like 5%.
