Ive seen people selling matriarchal pikes enough times now that there must be someone buying a few, and whilst i tried to google, i never really got any answer - what are people doing that uses this?

Yes, usually accompanied by a faith a1 merc
I think some use plague act 5 for lower res proc but I haven’t made a spear cs zon so I’m not sure

very few uses for slow matriarchal pikes. you want one of the spears for infy

they’re used by players who really like javazons, but want to make them significantly weaker by entirely removing their ability to throw javelins

I don't know how well lower resist plays with sunder charms on immune enemies. I think it might consider that the lower resist breaks the immunity, making it only 1/5 effective, which ends up being only like 10-12% or so lowered resist. Nice, but not gamebreaking when you have -85% on a perfect infinity/griffon's that is delivered at 100%.
