we both play hardcore ladder exp ( non rotw ) both on NA servers and it give us a msg that we can't join with this character

any ideas why this happen?

we both restarted our computer and game and also tested with a fresh created toon still doesnt work

Level restriction?

nop, we figured it out, i asked him if he did the updates, he was loading from a shortcut so he was on previous version

weird because when i logged in it told me i needed to upgrade and wouldnt let me get to the toon screen so idk how he managed to get online on his side.
