White on a +3 poison nova wand or plague runeword?

i'm on single player SSF, will be a while until i can find a dweb

Plague

Plague = +2 skills and -23 psn res
White in +3 base = +6 to psn nova and no -res

-res is extremely strong especially for psn. Plague for sure.

so with my current level of lower resist, monsters get -60 psn res. im wearing 3 set trang ouls with a poison facet, thats another -30. since the max negative res players can apply to monsters is -100, plague is effectively only giving me about another -10 psn res, does that still result in more damage than +4 to poison nova?

EDIT: also forgot to account for conviction negative res, as well. so isn't plague doing nothing in my case?

you can reduce a monsters poison res to -100 at max. but since many monsters have high poison resistance, you can apply more than -100. on a monster with 50 poison res you can apply -150 e.g.
