so does a shard have the potential to give you a herald for every waypoint? is there a minimum/maximum? can does anyone have any tips for sunder hunting?

also, how often to act bosses drop a statue? I just found out you dont need a shard for a statue, just a tz boss.

They terrorize the whole act so every area regardless of WP is terrorized and able to generate heralds

no idea on drop odds, I usually just wait for the rotating TZ to hit an act boss and then disassociate for 30 minutes doing them. I don’t think they’re super rare or I’m just getting spooned, will usually get 1-2 depending on the boss.

2% draw chance every unique or champion you kill.
1% chance to spawn when loading a new tile.

once you get a herald is that area done? or can another one pop? or would it pop somewhere else?

There is not a limit on how many you can get in an area.
Today I got 23 heralds in one game.

you can get a shard for any act anywhere. Thought a5 shards seems to be disproportionately rarer than the other ones xD might just be my bad luck, but i've found dozens of shards for a1-4, but 0 a5 shards in weeks. lol

yeah its not just you. im asking because ive amassed alot of shards and none are a4 haha

The chance for any Shard to drop is 13/6013 = 1:462. By applying the Player Count formula for reducing NoDrop, we can calculate Shard drop chance per Elite kill: Players1 - 1:462, Players3 - 1:231, Players5 - 1:154, Players7 - 1:116

From 10 full tz games you would average
28 - Act 1 shards, 16.8 - Act 2 shards, 11.2 - Act 3 shards, 11.2 - Act 4 shards, and 5.6 - Act 5 shards
