i have both +15cold dmg and -10 cold resistances renewed cold sunder but cant figure what is more beneficial. Can any one shed some light on how scaling works for it?

-10 better vs cold immunes +15cold dmg better vs everything else i guess

u already break the cold immunity with sunder and cold mastery, so I'd say +dmg is better? just my 2 cents

the answer is it depends

you can use the dmg calculator in maxroll planner to see dps on what type of monster

whether the monster was sundered, what your cold mastery is at and the rest of your gear/build all matters

this cold mastery plus sunder and probably infinity and facets etc galore.

Id say %dmg all the way

In Diablo 2: Resurrected, a Cold Sunder Charm reduces a monster's cold immunity, setting their resistance to 95%. Cold Mastery then applies at 1/5th effectiveness to that 95% to lower it further. Because Cold Mastery works at 1/5th efficiency.

when doing t8 pz on my blizz sorc i find sundered immunes to be the bottle neck

so IMO the -res is better

- cold res is better for cold enchanted tz cold immune monsters, + cold for everything else

i think its better to ask this in correct forum where people with actual knowledge answer

E/ to be honest if you take a look there you will already find an answer without asking
