Might be a stupid question but bear with me. For example, I bound a demon before I got my Warlock torch, now that I have a Warlock torch, can I bind that demon again to enjoy the 3 extra skill point buff without hunting that demon with the same affixes again?

Sometimes you just have to bind that shiny demon in the middle of the road

No need, the skill level reset when you exit the game, then you reenter, it will take the skill level from last game.
