I was farming for a decent Hephy bind and ended up grabbing a cursed/freeze elite mauler on my hunt. It made me wonder if odd finds like this are viable. I'm going to try it for a bit, but was wondering if anyone had already given this a go.

If you’re ES, literally any cursed demon is going to be fine. I don’t think it’s worth stressing over the aura or other mods at all. It’s generally a waste of time.

urdars have the highest regen, stun attack, crushing blow, good ai and large seize (act 2 TZ tals probably best version, act 5 has only 2/3 of the regen but better stats)
rogue lancers have the highest damage from jab and super fast speed/aggressive AI (matrons den has lower level but much higher hp, TZ cursed is more easily gotten and can be higher level)
vile mothers spawn pain worms as extra meat shields then go back to being aggressive AI
lister is like a lower regen version of urdars but more easily farmed

Damage pulse aura to apply it to everything is valuable. Otherwise nothing else on the demon matters

I don’t think the pulse auras make any difference. You have on-demand auto-teleport and auto-apply curse with death mark.

The pulse auras sometimes proc when you need them to but more frequently don’t proc when you actually want it. And since you have Death mark anyways I think it’s something cute to talk about, but doesn’t make any meaningful difference compared to basically any other aura.

That's crazy talk. You really want to back the argument that casting death mark (which has a 0.8s cast delay) every engagement isn't a meaningful loss of efficiency compared to... not?

I got stuck with a Fanaticism and within 5 minutes I was thinking what a newb trap it was, immediately went to go find a pulse.
