I haven't tried the new class. Is the Warlock comparable in single target damage to a fully geared spear Zon using charged strike (self wield Infinity, Griffon, COH/Enigm, Torch, Anni etc.)? Would it be cheaper to build?

warlock is without a doubt the highest damage in the game.
Cheaper? prob not just due to demand.

Zon Charged Strike kills bosses faster and Lightning Fury is more screen clearing power but you need a sunder and - light res gear at least otherwise souls/immunes can be a pain in the ass. Waiting for Infinity aura to affect them slows you down. Warlock is still faster in most areas due to faster cast frames and enough dmg to 1 shot everything even with poor gear.

Warlock just needs an Insight, they can break immunes with Lethargy sigil or a curesed demon /w amp damage. Warlock torches and charms are a lot more expensive. Also this is just my non ladder observation but Javazon gear seems to be appreciating while Warlock gear is coming down. Zon torches have suprassed Pala torches in price.
