This is my own personal opinions, but I'm happy to hear other peoples thoughts on this.

I laugh at how everyone keeps saying different weapons are the "#1 Warlock weapon" and it got me wondering, out of all the weapons tested, how come no one decided to do insight?
Currently I use Eth Insight CV, only 241% ed 15 med, and I see not a big difference between using that and EBOTD War Pike.
Honestly, I prefer Insight right now because of the FCR/Bonus AR%/Critical Strike

Warlocks get a critical strike chance via Levitation Mastery, but add that with a +6 Critical Strike Insight (which increases with +all skills items) and it's pretty much always crit hits.
I understand some people think the Deadly Strike % on weapons is best thing to have, but it's really not.

With Warlocks getting Critical Strike chance from Levitation Mastery, Deadly Strike doesn't give as big of an increase.
The way to figure out how much true Critical Strike chance you have, with Deadly Strike, is doing Critical Strike % + Deadly Strike % x (100-Critical Strike %) / 100.
So if you have 68% Critical Strike Chance + 50% Deadly Strike Chance it'd be 68 + 50 x (100-68) / 100 which = 84% true Critical Strike chance.

So why not just go with something that gives more utility?
Insight gives FCR/Meditation/Bonus AR%/Critical Strike/All Attributes/MF
Great for using Tele and not running out of mana.
Great bonus to attack rating.
Critical Strike chance that stacks with Levitation Mastery Critical Strike chance.
Attributes, who don't want more?
MF, speaks for itself.

The other big thing I see with this, it allows you to have a Pride runeword on your A2 merc for the Concentration Aura, or Faith on your A1 Merc (if you don't already use Fanat/Curse Hephasto or if you prefer Holy aura on him)
I honestly think Insight might actually be the biggest underrated weapon for a Warlock.

lol what are you on about - almost every es build starts with insight as their primary budget option

nobody is denying insight's utility, but it can be replaced with something better when those benefits are supplemented elsewhere

macro already did a good breakdown on the top es weaps which by all accounts is really still a flexible and preferential choice at the end of the day

If you look though, he didn't even use an accurate Insight. He showed a Poleaxe Insight. He could have at least tested it with a stronger base than Poleaxe, like a Colossus Voulge.
Honestly, I don't even enjoy people using websites like that to try to show what is "best" for anything. If you aren't going to show any gameplay with the setups you're talking about, than it's nothing but useless numbers with nothing to show that it's actually true.
He calls Arioc's Needle the best in slot for Echoing Strike which I will always argue that is not true, but that's until I find one myself and test it myself.

Ariocs is better for DMG bc it has +skills ontop of big DMG and crit but even for Ubers an eth elite insight is more than enough DMG it just doesn't matter

Many people since day one have said insight..

We have been telling you since the begining. Insight is the best, not even close to the second one.

Everyone I talk to tell me EBOTD, Ariocs or Fortitude.
