So as I’m approaching end game gear on my lock I keep finding myself asking, “is playing a cleave build that has the same playstyle of a tele stomping nova sorc not a better play than echo?”
This is the build I’m planning
20 cleave
20 eldritch blast
20 mirrored blades
20 hex purge
X to demon mast (enough for pre buff lvl20)
1 to pre reqs and lethargy (boss fights)
Hellwardens -> 2/20/2 circ (ias jewel)(protstone)

Enigma
EDeath (champion axe for speed (-10) (+2)or glorious axe for range (+10)(+3)
Ars’meph (um or 15ias/15res)(25fcer+req)
Arach
Loh -> 10cb/ias/ res blood gloves
Gores
Raven
Sling
Merc : pride, cure, coh (need curses removed with cure)
Heph : fant(lvl12) / cursed
Has 90+ ds, 65-75% cb, 10% open wounds, -33 magic res, 60ias (gear), 60+ias (skills), 75fcr
Couldn’t find info on ias charts, only thing I saw was llama comparing a ebotd pike vs grief pb. Pb was noticeably faster but he didn’t have fant and only 20 gear ias (80ias with skills)+ (60 vs 40 weapon ias) and comparing a 20speed vs -30 speed weapon. Not exactly equal
Looking at normal attacks for every class ias charts with lvl 12 fant champion axe (-10) should reach max ias break points with only skill ias (60+). If using a (10) speed weapon like decap or glorious axe, then its would need to use 40ias on gear + 60 from skills to reach max.
I currently have 60 on gear so either hellwardens or loh can get swapped out. I like hellwardens for a place to put stone, the slot needs fcr, and the -8 magic is a lot for eldritch blast / purge combo even tho neither are maxed this build plays -33 magic res and magic dam is a big part of the build. Loh-> steel tends or crafted blood tri res probably best options but 350 demon dam and 50fr is strong and cheap
65cb + 90+ds and amp is a strong combo, playstyle is similar to nova sorc and I believe it’s possible to get clear speeds similar or greater. Boss or st swapping cleave for mirrored
Still looking for any info on ias frames, what character got copied, is cleave or mirrored blades a special ias frames attack other than standard attack
Thoughts on eDeath weapon base, does the glorious axe range 3 increase cleave range? Should I just stick to grief or is the 2h +eth enough to overcome?
Will damage and clear speeds rival nova sorcs?
