Long story short I played D2 LOD like crazy and had 2 lvl 99s with full 100% gears and some mules when I stopped playing. Also had some "pre-patch" items, can I get them back? My names are probably taken but what about mules? What is the best way to go about this? ANY help would be appreciated! I do YouTube and Twitch so having all my old gear would REALLY help!

EDIT: I want to be able to CONVERT them to ROTW, or would I have to stay on LOD?

You chars are mostly gone. Now blizzard now and then removes all expired characters, no matter if the name is used or not. Doubt they survived the first wave if you didn't take care of them.

There is no D2 ROTW. There is D2R ROTW.


If you are talking about LoD (not D2R), once your bnet account is inactive for like 90 days the account (and characters) get deleted. If you've kept your account(s) active, but the toons haven't been played for 90+ days, they've likely been deleted. If the name hasn't been taken, you MIGHT be able to recover them. If the toon isn't listed on your account, they're gone.

If you are talking about D2R LoD, you can convert your LoD characters to RotW.

If you are somehow talking about both... You cannot convert anything from D2 (Classic or LoD) to D2R (Classic or LoD or RotW).

Last time I checked my LOD chars they were still on. Shoulda been erased, didnt play em for a long time.
Probably like 2 or 3 years ago, and I quit playing LOD a bit after D2R was out.
Mule accounts were dead tho. Pretty fast those ones, like a few months after D2R release.

The first wave mmmm two years ago? It was rare, because it didn't erase all the expired, but a high % of them.
It took people unaware, since most of them thought: ey my char is named zXXxzGodzXXxz, no one will use that name so it will never be erased.

Always the same thing from Blizz :

I bet some retard in a suit told them to do that. Thousands and thousand of characters were removed. Actually making a lot of people stopping playing old d2

Ya u ain’t ever seein ur lod shyt maybe the character name still there if it’s shyt uncommon but prolly not if popular everything expires after 90 days I believe
