What would be the maximum -res a monster or player could have? I know its different for immunities

Say I'm a psn nec that already has -60 enemy psn resistance with jewels - I add necro curse lower resist - 65 bringing total -125.

Is there a cap for max -?

-100 is the cap

So meaning if i can achieve -100 any element on my character there's no point to lower resist curse? Or lower reisist would break immunities?
