ok... how to enable it? I know how to set it up, it's easy enough, there are simple guides out there.

Here is what happens: works in one game, next game I can switch it on or off... nothing changes... all the garbage is showing.

Question one: anyone has the same experience on steam deck or playing through steam in general (same happens on my laptop)?

Question two: is there something I have to set in gameplay options? like wtf is it about "toggle", "timed", "hold" for showing items... what's the meaning?

General questions:

1) What does it all mean?

2) What is reality?

Concerning

Toggle is on off switch to show items
Hold is where it only shows items when the button is held
Timed I'm not sure since I've never used it.

test it out your self for a bit and you'll learned, check those you want to hide or show. no need to mess with the complicated crap just make all potion, throwing potion and small gold pile disappear already took care like 70% of the trash on screen. thats all you ever need to be honest

I had no problems setting it up and it works in the one game I set it up in… after that I can switch it on or off… does nothing

Ok, I’ll check if that changes anything (I play with controller or SteamDeck). My sense was that this setting makes no difference.

I have one option for items in general and one for loot filter. I can have either one in different setting one in hold, one toggle etc. but imo doesn’t matter still everything is displayed

update: for other people playing on controller and who have a similar level of retardation like me

In gameplay options->
show items: toggle
loot filter: toggle

And then toggle with (xbox controller/steam deck): LB button... if you got potions other than full rejuvs disabled: drop potions to check what happens when you toggle it on/off using LB button.
