So I have accounts that own D2R copies and can't upgrade to RotW and its telling me I need to buy the whole infernal package game and this is the email they gave me. Since when has D2 have any sort of subscriptions? Or full beta access? Lol, what?

Kindly be advised that after further investigation we checked the D2R license on your account that you cannot buy the Warlock upgrade and as I can see your account does not have the D2R license and you can only buy the inferno edition.

Also having D2R via game pass does not count as having the license for the game as you would need to purchase the game in this case as your account does not have the game license you have the game account which was created by either playing the beta pre=release or playing via game pass but the purchase for the game itself is not on the account and in this case you would need to purchase the game.

they are saying you only own d2r because u downloaded it free off gamepass so technically you don't own the game, you have to purchase the game from them then upgrade it so that you actually own it.

What is game pass? From searching, it says xbox game pass? I don't even own a xbox.

Since when did d2 ever have a beta pre release that allows you to play the full game? My account is on bnet client and I play only on PC.

idk i dont work for blizzard maybe message them but it seems you didnt pay for the game and they want you too is what i father from this.

message blizzard have them go over how u got d2r in the first place because clearly u downloaded it and never paid for it somehow
