anyone tested to see if the mana burn from some binded demons works in pvp?, that would be nasty

its the same jank as necro invoc in pvp you feel like a god for a time until you die and have to restart your "precast" that will take so fucking long that the other dudes will fuck off before you can even get your ass into the blood moor

one of the funniest things from LoD pvp was when a necro would join, hostile everyone, spend 7 hours getting all his minions, and then he would immediately die and leave the game.

well if its a TZ game and the right zone is active, or you burn a shard, you should be able to get a replaceable demon pretty fast, otherwise aggressive demons that will attack on a telestomp reliably aren't actually that easy to get, because most mobs have annoying AI including the fallen in blood moor.
you'd want an urdar, spearwoman, axe rogue, goatman, lister, pain wurm / vile child, the hell buzzards only in lower kurast. These are not easily replaced mobs and not guaranteed every map, I guess you could take subpar corrupt rogues / goatmen from most open A1 areas, without abilities, probably most reliable and easiest to obtain in a few seconds
Fallen and some other mobs will pause even if their only abilities are attacks, because of their cowardly AI that sends them fleeing. Regurgitators attack once and then try to eat corpses if available, maybe they'd become standard melee units with no corpses around, dunno

Pretty sure a pure blood boil build would have no problems PvP'ing even without a bound demon, just using 2x tainted, and for a pvp build you'd want to max tainted too. If they fix the synergy not working tainted will become absurdly broken in pvp and pvm alike, but even at ~6k damage they're still threatening, and you can kill people with either normal telestomping or deathmark from a distance and you'd be teleporting around with 2x autoturrets firing away like TS . I had a fully geared BvC try to PK one of my pub chaos runs with a grief/beast/enigma setup and we jousted a few times with passing each other teleporting, but all it took was a single deathmark from a range and the radius is so huge it fried him from offscreen while he was still in a whirlwind, I didn't even get to see how many casts it took but even without amp damage or conviction on my urdar/merc its still a 13k damage spell with -65% enemy fire resist on my setup (no upgraded sunder yet, but I'll go for a +% variant anyway)

Only duel I've had that ended with someone dying so far on ladder, everyone else QQ'd when I tried to pk them
