usually my prep in a new game is goatman -> consume -> 2x defiler but that has lower echoing strike sheet damage in the character stats screen than when I only have 1x defiler? I read through the skills but I don't really see an explanation for why I'm not allowed to summon this 2nd demon. Consume's description reads "sacrifice your demon in exchange for power", does that mean I can't just consume a demon and summon 2? I must have one demon slot sacrificed? Pretty confusing wording

A consumed demon counts as a slot.
If u can summon 2 demons and u consumed your goat, u can only have 1 out, such as your defiler
