just bought the Warlock version of Diablo 2 Res, this is the first diablo I've played.

any pointers on classes that are easy for noobs to play / guide recommendations

if anyone would like to start fresh with a new player that would be awesome as well.

Maxroll has some pretty decent guides. If you are new to Diablo, play some classes that seem interesting. Sorc and Paladin are the most popular before the Warlock update.

Start softcore as paladin (holy fire in normal/nightmare, fohdin or hammerdin in hell), then sorc, then necro and barb last. All of the runewords, curses and powers which are OP are borrowed from these classes. You'll get an understanding of those. Afterwards, play what you feel like.

🧠 Quick Summaries
Class Why It’s Easy
Necromancer Let minions fight for you; low gear needs; very forgiving.
Paladin Strong defensively; straightforward gameplay.
Sorceress Fast travel + powerful ranged damage; might be squishier.
Barbarian Simple melee combat; easy to grasp basics.

You should play the class that looks the most interesting to you… having fun is important

Lots of learning along the way
