Hey everyone. Been playing since I was a little baby boi back in the late 90s so in no noob but I will say there’s so much valuable gear that can be rolled off all kinds of bases whether rare magic or socketed / ethereal etc.

so I’m pretty familiar with the popular ones and I’m building out my loot filter. My question is, at what point does picking up , checking, identifying, town portaling, stashing etc start to go against your magic finding due to the time spent? I’m someone who likes to have a full inventory and identify scrolls in my belt. If I’m identifying every little thing in hopes for a gg rare, gmod ,or gg barb helm like 6 bo or a 6 nado helm then am I essentially slowing down my farming to a point where I could just be checking for eth bases and tossing them or just picking up runes that drop and ignoring others.

I know this was a long post and maybe I’m overthinking it but I have a nova sorc that clears tz fast and is great for finding runes and keys and stuff so I wonder what the best strategy is for choosing what to farm and what to ignore since I just have my horsdric cube space to use.

That’s the strategy I’ve been taking. My question is, is it worth stopping to identify every blue monarch, blue claw, blue Druid helm, wand, rare etc. maybe I’m just looking for a consensus on what you guys stop to identify. It takes a lot of time to identify and drop all these items and then to stash them. Which ones do you deem worthy of identifying?

Edit: assuming 96 tz of course

I always id charms, jewels, and rare jewelry/boots. Class specific items can sell for stupid prices too so I usually id them. Also liquid bases like polearms or armors. Even a 0s eth cv sells for a mal.

I do the same. I’ve added blue monarchs and some blue armors to my loot filter now so I’ve been identifying those too but I feel like the juice might not be worth the squeeze. Same with a lot of other magics or rares where there’s a chance they could be worth a ton but the odds are so dang low. Another example is javas

Yeah it's highly unlikely you'll ever find a pair of godly javs or whatever but it's still worth doing just for fun imo. Why blue monarchs and armors tho, for the chance at a jmod?

There is a page under the resources tab on Maxroll detailing what could be a great first step for you on this. Its called "Valuable Magic Items".
