How do I start learning what to look for and how much stuff is?
Alright, I'll bite since I looked at your recent posts and you truly do seem like you're trying to learn.
Some key items people search for:
Uniques:
-Harlequin Crest (also known as Shako)
-Griffion's Eye
-Herald of Zakarum (also known as HoZ)
-Guardian angel
-Duriel's Shell eth/non eth. This is a budget merc armor
-Arachnid Mesh
-Stormshield
-Reapers toll if eth
-Raven Frost
-Ormus Robes (these have crazy variants to them because the +skill changes and the rolls of -resist. If you hit a blizzard with -15% cold resist. Or +Lightning / +Chain lightning with -15% lightning all 3 of these are good.)
-Deaths Fathom if rolled well
-Stone of Jordan. These are BiS for a lot of builds and they are used to summon the diablo clone (Dclone). Long time ago they were the main currency that you traded in.
-Rainbow facets that are -5 with +5 will always sell.
-Titans Revenge eth will always sell
-Windforce
-Death's Web even with a low roll can still sell because of how rare it is.
-Bul-Kathos Wedding Band (BK Ring)
-Mara's Kaleidoscope always has value
-Highlord's Wrath
-Magefist
-Dwarf Star
-Nightwing's Veil
-Valkyrie Wing
-Verdungo's Hearty Cord
-Crown of Ages
-Skin of the Vipermagi value of this changes on the +resist ganged.
-Gore Rider
-War Traveler
-Waterwalk
-Sandstorm Trek
-Goblin Toe
-Dracul's Grasp
-Thunderstroke
Runes:
Jah, Ber, Zod have the highest value
Sur, Lo, Ohm, Vex are usually next in value
Cham, Gul, Ist you can usually sell but they drop in value quickly
Mal, Um, Pul, Ko, Lem,
Ral, Ort, Thul, Amn, Tal are used in common crafting recipes and sell in packs of 40
Gems:
Perfects all of them for crafting. P Amethyst hold the highest value of the perfects.
White items (Bases)
Archon plate 3os and 4os sometimes sell.
Mage plate 3os
Dusk shroud 3os and 4os
Scarab Husk 3os and 4os
Breast plate 3os
any 4 OS ETH high defense armor for merc runeword armors.
barb helms with 3 os and +3 bo bonus if it has battle command also or find item
monarchs both non socket and 4os
pally shields that are 35+ all resist with 4os or no sockets. If keeping the no socket variants the shields need to be able to roll +4 sockets.
Cryptic Axe try to roll 4os
Colossus Voulge try to roll 4os
Threshers try to roll 4os
Giant Threshers try to roll 4os
all weapons above can be eth or non eth.
There are some others like assassin claws, paladin maces, amazon bows, necro wands. However knowing which to hold for these comes with experience and playing the game and knowing what people want on those items. Far to much for me to list.
Lastly there are some rares that are worth keeping:
Circlets with +2 skills, FRW,FCR,FHR, Life, mana, all resist are godly and got 2 open sockets are super rare and hold extremely high value
same as above but without 2 sockets are still highly sought after.
sorc orbs that are +3 blizzard +2sorc skills 20% fcr life/mana
rare rings with dual leach, fcr, attack rating, life, mana, mf
This is a small list of items to keep an eye out for while you play. There are 100% more to look out for, but again that comes with game time and experience.
Now to value your items, you will have to look up under the league your in either Ladder or Non Ladder for how much those items are worth at the time.
