Honestly came back for the expansion and having a ton of fun playing through with a couple buddies, but had a couple questions.

1) playing warlock with echoing strike, having a hard time figuring out what demon to get with what auras, i had one that curses enemies but my buddy suggested that didnt help with echoing strike, can someone explain in a bit of detail what im looking for in a demon to help my echoing strike? having a hard time finding anything online specific to this.

2) do i need to be pumping dex for higher chance to block? my chance to block right now is like 9%, feel like thats terrible, but also feel like it barely goes up by adding dex.

3) do i want to have 2 demons for echoing strike build? and if so, which one do i want to consume to help me out with this build? I dunno why but just having a really hard time understanding how the skill works.

Yes you need to put some points into dex for maxblock.

1: For your bind demon there are 2 monster affix that matter.

Cursed / amp: this is a must have. Echo is phys and amp breaks phys immunity. This doubles your dam. 100 % must have, your friend got bad info


Aura enchanted: there is an order of value here. Holy freeze ( cc and aoe amp spread) > holy fire or holy shock (aoe amp spread) >>>> fanta (Edam for you and merc+ ias for merc) >> conviction (good for party / lowers def of mobs

The best demons will have be cursed and holy freeze with extra fast / teleport


2: just get dex for gear, max block not worth in pvm or with a low base block shield

3: you want to get demon mastery to lvl 20 with all your + skills. This lets you have a bound demon, summon and consume a goat man (life/frw/edam) and summon a defiler. The defiler links mobs and shares dam,
, it ends up being a ton of aoe dam and often helps kill mobs your echo strikes don’t even hit

When you mention cc and aoe amp spread, can you eloborate? Does this mean that if any monsters in the pack didnt get the curse, the holy freeze will spread it to them?

Amp has a chance to cast on every damage instance your bind does. Holy freeze/shock/fire count as a damage instance and spread amp to everything they hit. Without them your amp is limited to a/e your bind melees and melee range spread. Its a huge difference you feel it

Cc= crowd control, holy freeze slows mobs and increases survival a lot, especially for your merc which is a vital piece of the operation
