Whats the best build for him? I'm a trap sin.

Eth andy helm socketed with 15 ias/30 fire res jewel
Eth sacred armor fortitude
Eth giant thresher/mancatcher infinity

Pretty much bis for act 2 mercs for elemental damage

HOJ and Dragon Armor, Dream helm and Dream shield. Lightning Act 3 Merc to cast static field

Id just give him dual spirit, vipermagi and a shako tbh. Try to maximize +skills for their dmg. Maybe crescent moon sword if its lightning element.

Put your chosen elemental rainbow facet in each vmagi/shako.

They will have super fast fhr, fcr, max resists, 10% pdr, 50 mf and +7 to all skills. Merc go brrrrrrrr

Btw if u wanna experiment why don’t u just experiment then? Why ask us for advice ur literally not experimenting at all at that point. Plus i just assumed u meant act 2 cuz act 3 is pointless asf and for trapsin ud need a meat shield aka act 2. Act 3 wont help much, their damage is negligible. U shud just focus on ur dps and getting infinity, fort and andy

Lightning and stack as much -res as possible to maximize static dmg.

Don’t think they ever reach 156 str without +str

lightning merc has the greatest damage output when it actually casts lightning or static field, great aoe damage on either, but damned if it doesn't waste over half its casts on a useless ass charged bolt that does nothing
cold merc has way more consistent dps since both ice blast and glacial spike actually deal damage. But its not impressive


honestly the most damage you can get out of an act 3 merc is when you make sure to hire it so its an absolute minimum level 54 and never let it level up, so it stays low revive cost, and give it a 6x poison facet sword, 4x facet armor, 3x facet helm and 4x facet ethereal monarch (needs some jewelers of +str, otherwise keep it level 49 with 3x facet shield)
and then simply teleport it and watch it die in 1 hit and explode

Why would he use lightning element on a trapsin ….

Just use my build and if u dont have enough strength for eth monarch then use lidless or splendor.
