As others have already said, frozen orb won’t get you through p8 quickly enough.

You can do nova with full ES. But the damage on nova is also lacking in p8. Great build up to p5 though. But there are areas with souls that you shouldn’t farm with her. And chaos is dangerous too, due to Venom Lords’ inferno.

Usually in p8 you do light sorc or blizz sorc, if you wanna be effective. And you don’t use ES with either of these. Unless a 1 point wonder, if you are into it. But then you could get stuck in the middle of a pack, with zero mana to teleport out and you need to not panic.

Ok well I will go for Nova then .. prob all times my farm will be 1p - 3p so will be good then. Frozen orb is ok in 3p or 5p? Or isn't enough for that?

Isn't my build. This is a guide I see.. I think same but says Forty is because 25fcr +5max light res and vita. And Thundergods for str, vita, light res, light abs, etc etc for souls I think... Idk.. I'm asking because I'm so confused

I have a standard nova infinity build in my sig.

Nova sorc (kaykos build) will be plenty safe for hardcore. You should never farm A5 souls and never Tele stomp venom lords. They will eventually kill you if you do.

I just started a hc sorc myself few days ago, I can suggest you the same build if you want to be safe:
nw, doom, viper, mara, gerke, arach, trang gloves, 2 sojs, eth treks
I use memory for swap
one skill into cold mastery
maxed blizard + synergies
I have 17 on telekinesis atm, but it will be maxed as I level
my merc has prayer + insight

I solo terror zones + cs + baal in 5 players (as I can run only 5 clients on my pc)
I use barb bo
I don't think my life ever dropped below 80%
but even dropping below 95% is very rare

cold mastery is not capped at 200, I am not sure whats that about ?
