Na, Can play on EU and asia. It's the loggin server in NA, not the game servers. They are separate, always have been since bliz north.

Try closing everything and restarting the launcher. That fixed it for me

I hope not. I'll try connecting through EU like Nickr2 said. Only "reason" I can think of to get banned is because im on Linux and emulating Windows to play.
