Most lightning immune monsters have 110 if i'm right

A monster with 130 res can't have his immunity break with only infinity (130-21 = 109)

It's always good to have a sunder charm, even if you break the immunity with inifinty.
-15/-20 light res still better than +1sk
Even if it affect only 1 kind of immunity, i think it's still better than +1skill

Sunder on light barely mattered at all anyway. There's only a single unbreakable immune by default, some shitty WSK skeleton mages that die to merc. The only unbreakable immunes people ran into were lightning enchanted infector of souls or whatever, so its a minor convenience. Javazons and light sorcs already have such high -resists and extremely high damage and light immune monsters tend to be low hp, so even the difference between 17% conviction and 85% conviction doesn't really change their clear speed. Its not like javazons struggle to kill storm casters.

Meanwhile fire builds have to deal with venom lords, frenzytaurs, minions of destruction, arachs, hell spawn, crush beasts, etc etc. Unique minotaur packs with 150,000 HP and 120% fire resist and 66% DR and uninterruptible unslowable rampaging slaughtering bull cock, have fun using your merc

This patch makes builds more balanced, but honestly lightning will still be the best sorc build if you have the best gear.

It has nothing to do with damage, this is purely about mechanics. Even if you take a lightning sorc right now with no sunder, I can pretty much guarantee you will still leave a perfect gear blizzard sorc with sunder in your dust for almost any PVE scenario. The blizzard sorc could do 1 billion magic damage and have infinite health and it won't matter. Lightning skills simply have better mechanics for delivering consistent damage compared to blizzard. The only thing that would change this is if they buffed monsters to have more health.

Yeah i'm kinda agree with you, especially on your fire analysis

But even, i'm pretty sure it's a good thing to keep light sunder on inventory for light sorc. It's still some free -light res, instead of +1sk

People play with crescent moon, griffon, or even self wield infinity instead of hoto/3sks circlets/ whatever +sks items for a reason
